Become a part of the largest apartment association in the Great Lakes State. Join over 330 apartment owners and management companies representing over 60,000 apartment homes and over 120 supplier members shaping the West Michigan apartment industry! The West Michigan multifamily housing industry is made up of a wide variety of businesses, from owners, managers and developers to the many industry suppliers of products and services. Due to the scope and size of the industry, companies involved are often affected by local, state and federal governmental legislation and/or policy. PMAWM Membership automatically gives you State (PMAM) and National Apartment Association (NAA) Membership - AT NO EXTRA CHARGE. As a federation of nearly 170 state and local affiliates, NAA encompasses over 68,000 members representing more than 9.25 million apartment homes throughout the Unites States and Canada. While membership is not mandatory, a great deal of professionally managed apartment communities in West Michigan are members, and over 125 companies that provide products or services to the industry are members as well. Apartment Community
As a member of PMAWM, you will have access to a multitude of opportunities including networking, sponsorship/advertising, education, charitable endeavors and much more.
You may choose to attend some of our many meetings, events and educational opportunities, so that you can network with other members, increase your business or advance in your career. You may even want to join a committee and/or run for a position on the Board of Directors and help shape the future of PMAWM.
Either way there is always plenty to be gained by becoming an active member. As with most things, the more you put into it the more rewarding it will be!
Dues Calculation:
(# of units x $2.35) plus $75 = annual dues
Independent Rental Owner (IRO)
The National Apartment Association (NAA) defines an Independent Rental Owner (IRO) as a member that is actively involved, from ownership perspective, in the management of properties.
Typically, these properties are defined as having a small number of rental units at any single location. These smaller-management sized properties generally require a unique property management style, as opposed to the management style used for properties of larger-sized companies.
IROs are defined by PMAWM as owners with no more than 24 units.
Annual Dues:
$399 per apartment community
Business Partner
This membership is available to any Business Partner wanting to only join PMAWM. The cost to join on a local level is $399. Once you have joined the association, you will be listed in our directory. As a member, you will have access to the membership directory, be able to register for events and education at member rates and have the opportunity to network with property professionals across West Michigan.
